Too bad there were no cards left. I bet this was an AMAZING song!

So. I’m not sure if this was intentional or accidental. But I sure do wish there were some cards left for me to listen to!!!!

Yay CVS!

Would you like some coffee with that creamer?

September 8, 2008

[I detest you Starbucks for spoiling me and making me require a creamer to non-starbucks-coffee ratio of 3 to 1 before even touching my lips to the cup]

Things are going fine. Thanks for asking!

So to start off my post with not so happiness- my mom is having her Bi-lateral Mastectomy on september 8th 17th. They changed it again. Ugh. Wish her luck!

Labor Day weekend was good. Nice and relaxing.

Zac came down and hung out with me that Saturday night… and then we went up to Centreville Sunday. Hung out at his brother’s house. Took their two labs and Zac’s dog Oz to the neighborhood pool for doggieswim since the pool was closing. It was a mad house. Oz was afraid of the water. Tess and Lucy were running around like crazies, barking at everything and almost knocking little kids in the pool. And I kept an eye on his little nephew while his sister in law watched the dogs. It was fun though. Thor would have LOVED to do that, and play with all the other doggies.

So we bought some different teas to put in the bistro in the Training Center last time we went to the store… This chai spiced tea tastes like heaven…and Christmas.

On another note. I finally went to the doctor on Thursday for all the lower back pain I have been having.. and might I say that I was unsurprisingly disappointed with her. I got there about 45 minutes before my scheduled appointment time… Which is fine, because I was supposed to be there 30 minutes early anyway… I filled out all the new patient paperwork… medical history.. family history, yadda yadda. And then sat in the freezing cold exam room for about an hour before she came in. She literally spent less than 5 minutes in my room talking to me. I told her about my back pain and my neck pain. She got an attitude with me when I told her I didn’t know if my grandmother had breast cancer or any othe types of cancer.. like I am supposed to know the detailed history of everyone in my immediate family minus my parents and sister.. Then she pushed on my lower back “Does this hurt?” “Not really.” I said- “it doesn’t hurt a lot right now. It goes away and comes back sporadically.” “Well, we will get a urine sample and see what it tells us. I’ll also prescribe you some Naproxen for your neck pain, and some Cipro for your urinary tract infection symptoms.” Ok. Well I also wanted you to check my–” I was ever so politely cut off by the slamming of the door in my face as she left the room and sent a nurse back in with my prescriptions and that cute little plastic cup to pee in. Damnit. I wanted her to check out my knee and let me know if it healed properly!! I tore the meniscus back in May of ‘07 and I still walk retarded because I lost my insurance and opted out of the “optional” but “recommended” $30,000 surgery. But she left me high and dry. I asked the nurse if I needed to get a physical or anything since I was a new patient, and told her that I wanted to get my knee looked at. She said she would talk to the doctor and let me know… after I locked my urine sample in the medicine cabinet thing in the bathroom (in case someone wanted to steal it and sell it on the black market), I looked for the nurse but she had vanished.

Whatever. I am going to look for another new doctor today. I will also tell you that Naproxen (AKA: Naprosyn) Is a BS medication that doesn’t work. It is a little stronger version of Motrin-which I feel that because of my recent abuse- I am immune to its healing powers. So unless Motrin makes you feel like you are floating on a cloud, don’t bother with the Naproxen.

Zac and I went to -ANOTHER- wedding on Saturday. It was nice and small. But cute! Everyone is getting married! Its an epidemic. Sheesh.

So I spent $150 at New York and Company yesterday buying more clothes to wear to work. I could seriously be a walking advertisement for that store.. Literally everything I wear to work is from NY&C. It’s the only place where I can find pants that are long enough!!! And they have a lot of cute shirts too. I also save about $100 too. I had a 30% off coupon which I took full advantage of… bought a bunch of shirts that were 50% off, and did something I never do- I got a store credit card. AHH! Hey, I saved an extra 15% off of each item.. What the heck. So despite the fact that store cards are horrid inventions and not to mention TERRIBLE for your credit… I caved and got one. I plan on paying it off as soon as it comes in the mail and I get my free coupons, then I’m cancelling it. And destroying it forever.

I also found a bunch of houses in Northern Virginia and some in Maryland that I really like on the foreclosure/home auction website!! I feel cool. I am 22 and planning on buying a house! Granted it might end up being a lot of work to fix up considering the only ones I can even remotely afford are ones that people just up and walked away from because they couldn’t afford their mortgages- I want one. NOW. I love my parents. But  I can’t stand living at home anymore.

So if anyone knows of any nice, and by nice I mean Idontwanttobetheonlywhitepersonlivingthere, areas in Maryland close to D.C or in Northern Virginia please tell me!! I found some cute houses in Mt. Rainier, MD. But then did some  research and decided it wasn’t a good idea for me to live there… Silver Spring, MD has some good areas? I think. Or even in the Beltsville, MD area. That would be as far as I am willing to go north of my work here in Falls Church. I also found a super nice prospect in Springfield, VA. It’s huge! Much to big for me alone.. so I would definitely need a roommate. But it seems nice outside.. and its right by I-495. So my commute to work would be cut down one way from 40 miles to 12. Now just to find time to go see the inside and see how much damage it has incurred.

Ok. Back to work for me.
