First of many…

July 6, 2007

I decided to start a blog mostly to give me something to do in what little spare time I have… Things have been going fantastically lately. Work is good. I’m about to start my second summer class, Business something or other, and in the process of trying to get everything done for the accounting class I am taking.

My grandparents (Grandpa Bruce, and Cindy [ step-grandma]) came to visit today… Mom went and picked them up from Indian Head, MD where they were visiting Cindy’s son for a couple of days. I made homemade fettuccine alfredo that is literally and figuratively TO DIE for. But I wont tell you my secrets that make it so delicious. I never fully follow the recipes. It’s all about taste preference.

Casey-bean and I are watching Peter Pan…old school.. We’re gay. I know. I love these old movies… The movies they have today for kids suck. The cartoons aren’t as good anymore either. Although I do like the more adult focused ones like South Park, Futurama, Family Guy and the plethora of drug-induced-thoughtless-stupid ADULT SWIM cartoons they show on the Cartoon Network late at night.

I wish I had more time to watch tv… I usually end up watching all the shows I miss online. Its not bad at all. But it would definitely be much better to come home, sit down on the couch and enjoy a nice television show without having to wait for it to download, buffer, and then un-freeze when the network crashes for minutes at a time.

4th of July

Festivities

The 4th was pretty interesting…. Around 3:30 on Tuesday, the day before, I had this brilliant idea to go buy illegal fireworks from Tennessee… We ended up driving about 5 hours to Dillon, South Carolina and bought a bunch of fireworks from the Fireworks Supermarket. It was an AWESOME road trip. We drove down there, bought tons of shiznit, then drove home.. Minus my speeding ticket [which I am NOT going to drive all the way down to the Virginia-North Carolina border to pay] and lack of sleepit was great!

We got home around 4:30 on the 4th.. I slept for a few hours, then woke up and started cooking things for later. Made some potato salad and delicious tomato cups. Then we all went next door, rode the jet skis, had a clam-bake and ate lots of food.. As soon as it got dark, the pyro in my had kicked in and we set off TONS of fireworks. Some other people there had bought some too, so we watched all those.. I definitely got my moneys worth. They were really pretty!
